Lady Bug Pick a Petal card

This is a cute birthday card made with the Pick a Petal stamp set that we will make at the August stamp camp.

Stamp sets used are Pick A Petal, Polka Dots and Paisley and Stem Sayings. Paper used is Real Red, Whisper White and Black. Ink used in Real Red, Black and Old Olive. Accessories used are black brads, small hole punch, black gingham ribbon, 1" circle punch and a paper piercer.
Cut Real Red cardstock 4 1/2" x 11". Fold in half with the fold on the left. Stamp the background from Polka Dots and Paisley in black on the top and bottom of the card. There is no need to stamp the center of the card as it will be covered. Take a 2 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of Whisper White and stamp the flower from Polka Dots and Paisley using Real Red and Old Olive. Only reink the stamp every other time. Using Black ink stamp the Happy Birthday from the Stem Sayings on the left of the white cardstock. Using the paper piercer poke holes under the saying to look like the flight path of the ladybug.
Stamp the polka dot petal from Pick a Petal twice on white cardstock with Real Red ink. Stamp the petal outline in black and cut both pieces out. Punch 2 1" circles from black cardstock for the ladybug body and head. Glue the lady bug together and glue to the Whisper White piece leaving room to draw 2 antenna with a black marker. Attach the Whisper White piece to a 2 3/4" x 5 1/2" piece of black cardstock. Set 2 black brads at the end of the antenna. Punch a small whole in the upper left and tie a piece of gingham ribbon through. Now mount this piece onto the Real Red background and you are done!
