Christmas is coming

This is what the advent calendar looks like with all of the ornaments off of it. See post below for more information.

Christmas is coming!

I made this advent calendar for my granddaughters. I used a cookie sheet and Doodlebug papers, ribbon and stickers. I had my husband drill 2 holes in the top and knotted ribbon through to make a hanger. I then used red tape to attach the paper to the cookie sheet. The squares are punched from pattern paper and run through my zyron. I cut the hangers off of mini ornaments and glued magnets to the back. You can use it one of 2 ways. Leave the ornaments on the front and take one off each day or put on one ornament each day. The ornaments store on the back of the cookie sheet - pretty slick.

Winter Brights Christmas organizer

Here is the front of the Christmas organizer that we made today in class. It is made out of a plain pocket school folder and 1/2 of a Winter Bright Stampin' Up scrap kit.
We put 4 items in the pockets - a receipt envelope, a memo pad "list", an index card "Christmas card list" and an index card "Ideas" book. We used the scraps leftover to make 10 cards. Note: If you click on a photo it will open up in a bigger window.

Winter Bright Christmas organizer pocket items

Here are the 4 items that we put inside the pockets of the organizer. They are decorated using scraps leftover after we put the folder together.

Winter Bright cards

Here are the 10 cards that I made with my scraps from the Winter Bright Christmas organizer. All I did was use my scraps so your cards may or may not turn out the same. I actually ran out of stickers before I ran out of paper so if you use your stamps you can even get a few more cards out of your scraps. Have fun doing them!
